THE DEVIL DOES NOT EXIST
History was divided with the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, giving way to time being known as before Christ and after Christ. But an even bigger transcendental event occurred with his death on the cross: The gospels were divided.
When Jesus says: “It is finished”, he established the end of the law, and the beginning of grace.
Another of the acquired benefits of his death was the fulfillment of one of the promises he made before the cross:
- “Now is the judgment of this world: now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” (John 12:31)
This manifested when He destroyed Satan on the cross along with all his principalities and power. Let us take a look:
- “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it…” Col 2:15
Furthermore
- “…He himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil” (Heb 2:14).
Therefore, nowadays we have a calling to understand that Satan and his power existed until Jesus’ death on the Calvary cross. Not only did Jesus accomplish this for his beloved Church, but he also transferred His Church to his kingdom. Let us take a look:
- “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love…” (Col 1:13)
